Fares are ‘outrageous’
A lot of people in south east London don't need to use the buses or Underground." Transport watchdog London TravelWatch says Maze Hill was the second worst hit by the fare rises and questioned whether it should be in Zone 3. Communications officer Jo Debank said: "We think the zone needs to be looked at again." Southeastern's regulated fares, which includes season tickets, increased by an average of 6.8 per cent. A company spokesman stressed the percentage increase on regulated fares is controlled by the Government and said the quality of service has improved. He added Southeastern was required by the Department for Transport to introduce the new fare structure. The spokesman said: "Some fares have gone up and others have gone down, but we appreciate for the losers this decision will not be popular.

Title race: Can Rangers defence stay solid?
They have eight games in March alone and that is a tough ask for any team. It will stretch Rangers' resources to the limit and there will be an even bigger reliance on Cuellar and Weir. "They have been fantastic this season and even though Andy Webster and Steven Smith are returning from long lay-offs, Rangers' success has been in having a settled central defence. "Barry has not had a rest all season either, but has been giving his all in every game. If the manager can keep them fresh then it gives them a solid foundation." Brown is acutely aware of the criticism of Rangers' style under Smith but told The Herald that similarly derogatory remarks from former players fuelled their desire to complete the record-equalling nine-in-a-row sequence.
WHAT'S YOUR WORKOUT?
She lives and works in New York City, stands 5' 2'' and weighs 110 pounds. The Workout "I am not a natural athlete," insists Ms. Kimmel, who didn't exercise until age 32, when she met her former husband. "He was older than me but was in such good shape and had so much energy. He kind of shamed me into exercising." Ms. Kimmel said her husband had a Stairmaster in his apartment that she used sporadically, and she hired a trainer to show her how to use free weights. Still, exercise always felt like work. When Ms. Kimmel discovered skating, she found a new passion. "I would never wake up at 5 a.m. to go to the gym," she says. But she now gets up between 5 and 6 a.m., has breakfast and catches the morning news -- "I need to see what's happening in my world of PR," she says.
JEALOUS: S.D. boy floats down Mississippi on raft of trash
While you were making keyboard hanky panky sitting in your cube, Thor Anderson and a handful of other idea-laden 20-somethings built a raft out of things not intended to build rafts with. Like garbage. Then they actually put the thing in the Missouri River right where it intercepts Kansas City, Mo., with the crazy idea of reaching the Gulf of Mexico via the Mississippi. Last we heard they were floating somewhere past Memphis. Thor, who plays guitar in local band Monsters From Mars, recently disembarked and was kind enough to answer a few questions over MySpace (thanks, Tom!). This may be the longest blog post in the world, but with run-ins with the law, Homeland Security, sandstorms, heatwaves, scary monster barges, scary monster captains, scary dirty water, whirlpools, casino boats, flooded campsites, bug bites that turned into holes and raft-made soy yogurt, we like to think of it as a real page scroller.
Gust, Rupp loved world of sports
People who love and follow athletics — at the local, state and national levels — are saddened with the passing of Paul Gust of Fergus Falls and Craig Rupp of Elbow Lake. Hundreds of sports fans in Otter Tail and Grant counties shared the same passion those men exhibited in recent years. Adding to the sadness, of course, are the circumstances related to their deaths. For many years Gust, 76, battled Multiple Sclerosis — with his battle ending Monday, Oct. 29. Rupp, 60, died in a hunting accident on Saturday, Nov. 3. Many baby boomers my age recall, as kids, seeing Gust become the leading scorer for a local team in April 1960 when a group of all-stars played Elgin Baylor and the Minneapolis Lakers, one year before the Lakers moved to Los Angeles. This was a Jaycees benefit basketball game held at the Fergus Falls High School gymnasium.
More information about common herbs; A breakdown of some of the herbs ...
From this new alive creation, all living patterns are extended. Then, by instinct or experience, man in all parts of the globe soon distinguished plant life as daily food for man and animal, specifics for medicine poisonous plants for man and animals - but the same are not always fatal to every specimen. We read about new discoveries and national convention participants often speak about an herb as if it were just discovered for the first time. It should be noted that modern medical practice has been with us for only the last 25 or so generations. It has many good credits but in medical literature alarming warnings of caution are given. For many, many years now no new ideas or discoveries are signified in medical science with respect to internal medicine.
