Deere takes a Giant Leap
About 50% of Deere's sales come from agricultural equipment, with the remainder split between construction equipment and commercial and consumer equipment. "Building to demand is the biggest focus for all of these businesses," says Nelson. "We began in construction equipment where it used to be normal to order big construction pieces six months in advance. Today we'll deliver any piece of big construction equipment in far less time. That puts a tremendous amount of importance on reducing leadtimes, particularly with our supply base. We're directing a lot of our supplier development engineers toward the activity of reducing cycle times." Nelson's team brought on board 94 supplier development engineers, including four with Ph.D.s, as part of its roadmap at Deere. Their salaries are shared by the divisions and corporate.
Rep. Campfield wants gay references banned in schools
Before coming to TEA, Wiman spent a combined 30 years as a kindergarten teacher and an elementary school principal. During that time, some of his students' parents were same sex couples. He believes a law like this one could have alienated them from the school. "We have such a diversity of children and families in our school systems," he said. "We don't want any child or parent to feel like they're excluded from the school." More details as they develop online and in Thursday's News Sentinel. .
TV's Workout Queen takes Aim at Your Diet
I do know that instead of crunches you do bicycles. start with knees up so lower leg is parallel to floor with the upper leg at a 90-degree angle, hands behind head. bring elbow up and opposite knee down to meet while extending the other leg and without lowering your upper body back to floor, you do the same thing with the other elbow right elbow to left knee with right leg extended; lower upper body (but not to floor) then left elbow to right knee, extend left knee….like the motion of pedaling a bicycle. The modified mule kick was like a mule kick hands and knees at floor, back flat. lift one knee off the floor, straighten leg behind you adn lift (while tightening ab muscles) and then instead of going back to the floor, you take your knee back down and then out to the side…you really feel this in your rear! then lower it and repeat.
There is something about Kalawati...
Primarily it was the brief. I was told that the character they wanted to portray was that of respected Hollywoods star Tom Cruise, from the movie A Few Good Men. The role was macho yet not anti-feminist, held positive perception and plus challenging as it was of a lawyer.A very feminist storyline, yet Sati does justice to your character in every episode. Agree or disagree? A little bit of both actually. I would never want over exposure that would lead to the dilution of the meaning of the serial. The story has substance and the flow needs to be consistent. Too much of me or too much of them would lead to fluctuating peaks in the serial, which might lead to confusion or loss of interest amongst the audience. All I try to deliver is satisfying involvement at all times. But that doesnt mean my character is wasted or unimportant.
Find out if you’re heading into harm’s way
Travelers who have booked a trip through a tour operator likely won't have to decide themselves whether to postpone a trip, says Harvey Boysen, president of Gulliver's Travel in Fort Worth. The tour operator will make the decision based on reports from local offices. But if you're on your own, or just like to have all the information you can, here are ways to make an informed decision, keep yourself safe and possibly keep your savings intact if the worst happens.1. Find on-the-ground reports.Obviously the most effective way to really know what's happening is talking to people who are there. The key here is geography. Will trouble in Oaxaca affect your trip to Mexico City? News reports don't always pinpoint your vacation spot."You really need to be sure that you have a resource you can turn to for independent information,'' said Pamela Lassers, director of media relations for Abercrombie and Kent in Chicago.

NIU Students, Community Gather To Share Grief
DeKALB, Ill. (CBS) ― After the shooting spree had ended at Northern Illinois University most of the stunned, emotionally scarred students opted to leave school and head home. But some remained in DeKalb, and all through the day and night, have had several opportunities to come together and comfort one another. As CBS 2's Dana Kozlov reports, there was comfort in numbers Friday night as members of the community and beyond gathered in prayer, as NIU employees worked to shine some light on this otherwise dark day. "We will get through this together," said NIU President Dr. John Peters. The murders of five students here by former grad student Stephen Kazmierczak has shaken not only current classmates, but former ones as well. Many came to the campus Friday to lay flowers at a memorial, reflect and grieve.
